Southgate Cricket Club provides cricket coaching for boys and girls aged 8 to 15. Training sessions for those up to 13 years of age takes place during the cricket season on Monday nights between 6pm and 8pm. 14 and 15 year-olds train on Sunday mornings between 10am and 12 noon. Registration for the summer costs £40, with reductions for siblings. There is an extensive fixture list of friendly, league and cup games against other local clubs played on other evenings or Sunday mornings at Under 10, Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 age groups. There is also a small specialised training group for 16-17 year-olds. Southgate Colts cricket extends from the end of April until the end of July. In addition, the club runs a Development XI which provides additional cricket matches for senior or former colts up to the age of 18 if they are not by then already representing the club in adult games. Southgate Cricket Club operates a welfare policy in conjunction with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the Middlesex Colts Association (MCA). |

In July 2005 a group of Southgate Cricket Club’s 10 and 11 year-olds entertained the players and members in front of the Lord’s pavilion on the first day of the first Test Match against Australia with an exhibition of Kwik Cricket.
